Website Improvements!

Hey y’all!

It’s been about a year since the last big website refresh, and it’s time once again! Much smaller tweaks this time, but I’m happy to show ’em off to you! Let’s talk about the big one first:

Ads!?

• Ads! Yes really! Advertisements!

  I’ve added a single skyscraper ad slot via the Comicad Network. If you’re not familiar with CAN, it’s a spiritual successor to Project Wonderful. If you’re not familiar with Project Wonderful, that means it’s an ad network run by and for web cartoonists, which allows independent webcomics to bid for advertising space on other independent webcomics’ websites. This used to be one of the most reliable ways to discover new webcomics, and it’s a nice alternative to allowing social media algorithms to primarily determine what new comics we see!

  The bidding on my ad space starts at $0.00, which means that if nobody bids, it’ll display a rotating showcase of webcomic ads nobody spent a dime on. I encourage you to take a look, there may be a comic that interests you! If you’d like to advertise your comic / game / art project there, you can bid on the space here!

The Comic

• The comic navigation now features ◀◀ previous chapter and next chapter ▶▶ buttons, to make it easier to thumb through the archive.
• On small screens, navigation now fits on a single bar of controls below the comic, and the page will be “pre-scrolled” so you don’t have to scroll past the header to read the comic or access the navigation.
• The comic is set back to a static height, so zooming in and out should now work more like you expect!

General

• Aesthetics have generally been tidied up and prettified! New site background, tweaked colors, little mistakes fixed here and there. Do you see the fun little star shaped bullets in this list? Stuff like that!
• The Archive page has been redesigned for readability and a nice look! All chapters now have proper synopses and preview images, to make it easy to ~peruse~.
  
• It’s now fun when a page has comments on it. You’re gonna want to make sure there’s a comment on every page from now on…

I’ve got some more stuff planned for the website, but for right now that’s our current menu of improvements! Have fun reading my amazing incredible comic, lemme know if you encounter any issues I need to get fixed!
